Job Description

The system administrator must have a deep and broad knowledge of computer software, hardware, and networks. He will be responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, and supporting Rangam’s computer systems. The System Administrator will design and oversee local area networks, wide area networks, and network segments. Daily tasks may include installing, upgrading and monitoring software and hardware. The System Administrator will maintain the essentials such as operating systems, business applications, security tools, web-servers, email, laptop, desktop PCs and Windows patches.

 

System Administrator Duties and Responsibilities

·         Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems

·         Ensure the design of the system so all components work properly together

·         Make recommendations for future upgrades

·         Maintain / Monitor network and system security

·         Troubleshoot problems reported by users and analyze and isolate issues

·         Design new computer systems system and server performance

·         Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers

·         Maintain the integrity of the network, server deployment, and security

·         Ensure network connectivity throughout a Rangam’s LAN/WAN infrastructure

·         Design and deploy networks; Maintain network servers such as file servers, and VPN gateways

·         Perform network address assignment

·         Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration

·         Run reports on system performance for team and wider organization

·         Administer servers, laptop and desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, company mobile phones, smartphones, software deployment, IP Phone installation, security updates and patches

·         Manage staff and user credentials and frameworks

·         Risk mitigation planning

Skills Required:

·         Graduate

·         Specific experience with Microsoft Operating Systems 20012R2 to 2019, and Microsoft Exchange Server 2016

·         Specific experience with VERITAS Backup Exec

·         Experience with SonicWALL Firewall

·         Experience with Endpoint Protection

·         Experience with Barracuda email security Gateway appliance

·         Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)

·         Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

·         Hands-on experience of VoIP system (IP Phone)

·         Experience of ISO 9001 - 2015 (QMS) Documentation (For US office)

·         Experience of ISO 27001 - 2013 (ISMS) Implementation and Documentation (For US office)
