Job Description


·           Ability to recognize potential issues and take the appropriate action, including escalation to management when necessary

·          Preparing, verifying and sending swift instructions to Depositories and Agent.

·          Resolving problems arisen from unmatched items and implement long term solutions for frequently occurred issues

·          Preparing pending trades report and communicate with custodian agent to identify settlement issues over telephone or via provided systems

·          Monitor completion and accuracy of work that is carried out by Analyst.

·          Assisting in reconciling cash accounts against agent bank statements and resolving any discrepancies

·          Identifying cash or any other discrepancies to our books & records and following up till resolved.

Key Skills required:

·          Knowledge of Security Settlement process in APAC region

·          Escalate all issues properly, in time, to the appropriate level, to avoid any adverse impact on the business

Summary of essential job functions:

·         Will be performing and supervising below processes

-       Ensure timely Settlements of instructions.

-       Client Reporting.

-       Reconciliations of securities and cash.

·         Need to be a team player.

·         Identify exception and escalate it to the team manager

·         Attend necessary training for self development

·         To keep Team Manager informed of the exceptional occurrences, to enable appropriate action.

·         Assist VP /AVP in carrying out any special tasks or projects that may be required from time to time.

·         Assisting the team in decision making and be the backup for the Team Manager.

·         Creation and maintenance of various client and Management MIS

·         Be the first line of contact and resolve all issues raised by the internal onsite clients and Subject matter experts

·         Assist Team manager in Drafting/Reviewing Kops

·         Should voluntarily process workload of other members to ensure load balancing in the team.

·         Conduct UAT of application and document the observations.

·         Be innovative and come up ideas to automate the processes. Should have an approach to continuously improve the process to build in efficiency in the process

·         Should assist Team in resolving day to day production related queries.


Technical Skills or exposure to specific systems (Indicate ‘essential’ skills and ‘good to have’ skills)

Person Specification


Secondary or Alternate competencies :

·         Graduate from recognized university.

·         Experience in Securities Settlements in IB/Custody/Asset mgmt/Broking business in APAC markets

·         Knowledge of Capital Markets.

·         Strong relationship management/networking skills.

·         Ability to quickly master systems

·         Awareness of the high risk nature of Investment Banking.
