Performance Operations (Perf Ops) team is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team overseeing the Client's performance measurement function. This individual will work as part of the team to ensure that the vendor meets all internal and external deliverables and will track the agent’s performance against the established Service Level Agreement. They will serve as the point of escalation for all performance inquires, risk issues and discussions regarding new or enhanced reporting requirements and deliverables. In this position, the individual will be part of a global team responsible for middle-office performance functions including but not limited to reporting, composite maintenance and client take-on/termination tasks.  This position will partner with Client's Portfolio Services teams to understand products and strategies and will in turn educate colleagues on performance measurement calculations and interpretations.  Further, the position involves working very closely with the Fund Administration team in supporting requirements for regulatory and Board reporting. They must have strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills and be able to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the firm’s, clients’, and outsourcing agent’s organization. The group has a strong, team-based orientation, yet relies upon its members to take responsibility and ownership of their coverage responsibilities and client base.  Thorough professionalism in all technical and non-technical aspects of the position is required.  


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide vendor relationship oversight in regard to performance measurement and composite maintenance through significant one on one interaction with other investment professionals.
  • Work with other colleagues within a global organization to streamline and increase efficiency and accuracy of the performance measurement processes.
  • Understand the performance requirements of Client’s proprietary funds, local reporting rules and regulatory requirements and work with functional teams in providing accurate performance data
  • Understand and work on the FIRM’s annual GIPS verification process.
  • Work within the group to proactively identify and resolve discrepancies with Operations teams.
  • Identify procedural inefficiencies and recommend process improvement.
  • Project work as needed relating to the Client Investment Management Performance Ops team.


Overall Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience. 
  • Asset management performance calculation and reporting experience including knowledge of alternative return calculations.
  • Working knowledge of the GIPS Standards
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Highly proactive and energetic focus toward client service and relationship management. 
  • Strong individual initiative with the ability to take a proactive approach to assigned projects and new team initiatives.
  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
