Global Transaction Banking (GTB) comprises commercial banking products and services for corporate clients and financial institutions, including domestic and cross-border payments, professional risk mitigation for international trade and the provision of trust, agency, depositary, custody and related services. Business units include Cash Management, Trade Finance and Trust & Securities Services.

Job Summary:

The Analyst is expected to perform the Sub-product controllers function within GTB, becoming an SME for the related Sub-Product, Process/ System. Perform end-to-end role as part of the GTB Business Aligned Finance team in given timelines. As part of a product / regional team, support key stakeholders within GTB Finance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Close the Monthly PnL including accounting for month end close e.g. revenue & expense bookings, break resolutions between entities, sub-ledgers or systems.
  • MRP – Substantiation for accounts as Primary owners and account clerks.
  • Risk Monitoring & reporting including Quarterly Regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure completion/adherence of activity as per standard procedure.
  • Preparing critical Business revenue flash and sound analysis on the trend and supporting commentary for significant moves in business.
  • Manage adhoc requests from Finance/Business for the range of sub products.
  • Ensure quality and timeline of processing is maintained as per the SLA.
  • Escalate all issues in time, to the appropriate level, to avoid any adverse impact on the business
  • Assisting the team in decision making and taking ownership of the situation
  • Get involved in special GTB Projects driven by the Finance/Business, if any.
  • Ensure proper back-ups created and assist other teams during contingencies

Qualification & Experience required

  • MBA in Finance / CA with minimum 2 years of experience in similar Industry or Profile
  • BCom / M.Com with minimum 5 years of experience in similar Industry/Profile
  • Good Basic knowledge of Accountancy.
  • Good Quantitative and Analytical skills.
  • Advanced user of MS Office (esp Excel).
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in handling Investigations
