Department Profile

The Financial Control Group (FCG) is responsible for overseeing the accounting, financial and regulatory reporting for the Firm. Finance prepares external financial reports for public filings and regulators. For internal reporting, Finance along with Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA), summarizes, plans, and forecasts the organizations financial position, including income statements, balance sheets, revenues, expenses, and earnings. Finance is comprised of Product Controllers, Legal Entity Controllers, Accounting, Regulatory Reporting and Valuation Review groups.

We have an opening in ISG Finance (Product Control) - Fixed Income division and are looking to hire an Analyst to support Rates Product Control team for EU Region.

Responsibilities include:

As a Product Controller one will be working in the P&L reporting team supporting EU Rates Trading Business.  The P&L team is responsible for the daily validation, substantiation and reporting of P&L, weekly and monthly reporting and providing analysis to support the Business Units and senior Finance management. This is a high-profile role demanding controller to work in the complex Rates business and to collaborate across divisions like Finance, Operations, Business Unit (Front office), Valuations & Starts.

More specifically the successful candidate will:

  • Deliver on daily P&L reporting for Rates/Structured Rates Business and performs daily validation and substantiation of revenues and attributed P&L (Greek attributions) in upstream Risk and downstream P&L reporting systems and is responsible for daily P&L report distribution to the business units.
  • Deliver on Rates Business Unit’s month end reporting for revenue and balance sheet
  • Ensure adherence to daily P&L delivery SLAs to business unit and month end reporting. Work under tight control and governance environment in Daily P&L & month end reporting.
  • Escalate issues in a timely manner to management and key stakeholders. Work with key stakeholders to ensure timely resolution for all issues.
  • Understand the Rates businesses including the strategy, products, and inherent risks.
  • Understand the upstream risk & downstream reporting systems and contribute to enhancing the control environment.
  • Work with key stakeholders in Finance and Business Unit and have a tight communication channel with all the key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to Finance related projects, process enhancements, UAT testing etc.
  • Other P&L related tasks and requests as required.

Skills required

  1. Strong academic background including a Graduation in Commerce, specialization in Financial Accounting, Chartered Accountant (CA), CFA, FRM, MBA or equivalent specialization in Finance/Risk
  2. Prior Business Unit/ Product Control experience with knowledge of financial products, Greek attribution, and corporate actions in Fixed Income Division, Rates or Macro Products would be preferred
  3. Sound understanding and knowledge of Accounting and Capital Markets
  4. Strong understanding of financial reporting systems, procedures, and controls
  5. Strong analytical skills along with attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
  6. Strong Communication and interpersonal skill to manage stakeholders across divisions
  7. Ability to make creative and effective use of systems and technology (including MS Office Suite)
  8. Self-motivated, ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
  9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, challenging performance-driven environment

4.WFO/Hybrid: Hybrid (the candidate should be based in Mumbai or willing to relocate to Mumbai)
