Work from office Bangalore : Project Leader I, R&D - 5to 8years

Day shift

Project Leader I role works with the Director of Kidney care, internal stakeholders and corporate wide, cross-functional collaborators in the planning and tracking of R&D separation activities, infrastructure build out, knowledge transfer and hiring. The Project Leader I role will interact with R&D and cross-functional leadership as initiatives are scoped and project status is communicated.
The person in this role must demonstrate independence and experience with program leadership on projects involving physical infrastructure build-out of of lab & office spaces with varying complexity. There is a high level of interaction and influence with global colleagues to ensure teams keep on scope and within schedule commitments.
While embodying our culture of rapid execution and with a strong sense of urgency, the Project Leader I will take a “hands-on” approach in driving progress across multiple projects and initiatives. The Project Leader I must work effectively in a collaboration with internal and external teams to achieve organizational goals in a highly matrixed environment.
The role is based out of Bangalore R&D office.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This section contains a list of five to eight primary responsibilities of this role that account for 5% or more of the work. The incumbent will perform other duties assigned.
1. Work with the cross-functional team to drive detailed analysis of Bangalore hiring plan for Kidney care solutions, build out of lab equipment and capabilities and develop a separation plan, including equipment transportation and re-qualifications.
2. Work with cross-functional leaders to define lab and equipment requirements to support separation and build out in new location.
3. Track all the knowledge transfer activities/travel plans as part of Knowledge transfer and separation at a global front and ensure timely follow up as per the project plan and propose solutions to mitigate risk impacts
4. Track and update project schedule and execution, including identification of risks and issues as per the project plan
5. Key point of communication and alignment: The Project Leader II interacts through project updates, reviews (written and verbal), and other data-driven mechanisms to ensure effective ongoing communications across teams and stakeholders.
6. Ensures effective project risk management by proper identification, prioritization, and management of cross-functional risks. Works with team to propose solutions to mitigate risk impacts.
7. With support from the finance team, the PLII is responsible for tracking project budget from proposal/approval through receipt/payment. PLII will also assist with tracking capital expense requisitions.
8. Responsible for maintaining project data, records, and other documentation as required to support separation activities.

1. Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory or Clinical Practices and Product Development Process requirements
2. Experience with scheduling and resource management software (Project or similar); Experience in data analysis (Excel based); Business acumen (strong or developing)
3. Able to effectively communicate (multiple modes) at the leadership level. Tailors both oral and written communication to audience. Able to convey complex ideas and concepts to management.
4. Strong attention to detail: Ability to track multiple parts of different projects to remain up to speed with the latest developments
5. Strong leadership potential: Ability to positively influence, lead, and manage a diverse team of internal and external stakeholders
6. Aptitude for managing well with ambiguity, including sound and rapid decision making with little information and quick adaptability to change, i.e., has an agile mindset
7. Experience working with global teams
 
Education and/or Experience:
Include the education and experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily.
Bachelor level degree or equivalent experience with 8 to 10 years of relevant project management experience in medical products or pharmaceutical industry – preferably in infrastructure (sciences and engineering labs & office spaces) projects of such organizations. Demonstrated success working with and leading cross-functional teams is required.
Preferred: Project Management Institute (PMI) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications
