ASIA ICS Analyst:

 

Overview of the Role:

The ASIA ICS (Institutional Client Service) Groups support a wide range of products/ markets and clients – this extends to Commission Management Group, Equity and Fixed Income products settling via Euroclear, DTC and International domestic settlement.  The ICS team always seeks to respond rapidly to client’s needs and developments within the industry, making it a constantly changing environment, which demands high performance from the individuals in the team.   Clients have a named point of contact within Client, who can respond effectively to their queries.

 

A Member of ASIA ICS who will support the Commission Management Group (CMG) in its new business offering of Revenue Sharing (RSB).  The individual will be responsible for performing both trade and payment reconciliations related to RSB.  Reconciliations are both external and internal.  External reconciliations will focus on comparing client trade detail reports to CMG databases and work with Self Trading Desk, CMG and/or Operations to resolve differences.  Internal reconciliations will compare CMG trade and payment details that comprise RSB client balances to the firm’s Balance Sheet and resolve differences with CMG and/or Controllers.  This job requires heavy interaction with CMG, Self-Trading, Operations and Controllers.  Some client interaction will also be required.

  • Identify trading discrepancies between client records CMG databases.  Resolve discrepancies by working with CMG, Self-Trading, Operations and/or Controllers and maintain CMG transactional databases.
  • Review all open payments in CMG database and update payment status by reconciling with Firm’s GL.  Coordinate corrections on payments with Accounts Payable and Controller groups.
  • Research reconciliation items related to client balances vs. firm’s Balance Sheet.  Adjust CMG database as needed or coordinate required GL adjustments through divisional controller groups.
  • Point person for PL Controllers to address questions on accruals related to RSB.
  • Point person for Firm Reporting Controllers to address questions and confirm activity related to RSB activity.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of related experience or operations experience required.
  • Must have strong analytical and verbal skills; attention to detail; as well as strong client service skills.
  • Must have ability to work in a hectic environment and be flexible in re-prioritizing work based on ever changing internal and external client needs. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a particular strength in Microsoft Excel is required
  • Ability to ensure process consistency and adherence to all procedural guidelines set forth for a process
  • Ability to take direction and work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Firm understanding of the importance of accuracy in quality of work/downstream impacts.

 

The successful candidate will like working with a complex product, be highly organized, and able to track open items over an extended period.  A propensity for puzzling over a problem until completely resolved is a plus.
