Key responsibilities
As part of the Data & Analytics Group (DAG) and reporting to the Head of the India DAG locally, the individual is responsible for the following –
- System Integration and Testing: Support efforts to integrate systems (e.g. IMTA, GDR, Business Metrics), data, and procedures for global client information systems – AGCIS, CRMs, etc. Execute user acceptance test plans and data integrity.
- Exception report review and resolution: Execute and distribute data exception reports and manage validation process with global data owners. Develop data quality statistics, regularly monitor, resolve and then report violations to data owners and stakeholders. Work with global data owners to resolve exceptions in delivering a high quality client information database in both AGCIS.
- Managing Data Validation/Quality Control processes: Ensure that the daily, weekly, monthly AGCIS data validation processes are executed, distributed and issues addressed with the appropriate areas, e.g. IT, data owners, etc. Ensure modifications, enhancements, or new reporting logic is reviewed regularly and appropriate steps are taken to check the validation against current rules. Candidate should have SQL knowledge and be able to proactively review data gaps and implement reference data rules.
- Data Maintenance Process Management and Global Data Coordination: Support a global process to collect and standardize data representing changes to MSIM products or client mandates and create appropriate account structures to represent accurate relationships on AGCIS on a timely basis. Must quickly build data rule and business rule expertise to understand the specific needs of local vs. global reporting needs as well as business stakeholders and downstream dependencies. Maintain well documented and updated procedures.
- Global Scope: All work involving data, procedures and training must consider the needs and regional requirements of global MSIM users. This requires being available for and sensitive to meetings held in other global time zones. There is also a requirement to be flexible in understanding location/market specific business rules, global business rules and translating the requirements to data management tools and processes. The role will require coordination between cross-functional, global teams.

- Basic knowledge and understanding of: asset management industry, data management

- Strong technical aptitude: proficiency in Microsoft Excel; basic knowledge of Microsoft Access and Business Objects

- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and flexibility to adapt to changing needs
- Ability to identify and implement recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations
- Ability to provide support to and participate in meetings with global business areas
Key qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required and any other relevant academic course a plus.
- Strong domain knowledge of investment data
- 5+ years of data management, data analytics, or data governance experience in financial services
- Experience in data analysis, exploratory analysis using SQL and formulating data quality rules.
- Experience working with BI reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI is preferred.
- Knowledge in coding, Python is a plus.
