Responsibilities
The role will be responsible for working with the TPPM team to facilitate enforce consistent compliance with the Firm’s TPRM Framework in Asia. In this role, the successful candidate will be one of the key point of contacts in supporting and guiding Client’s Business Units and support functions on how to manage Third Party risks and maintain all Third Party arrangements in compliance with the Firm’s internal policies, external rules and relevant regulations on all aspects of the Third Party and outsourcing risk management.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Assists with day-to-day support related to Firm’s procedures on Outsourcing engagements and Third-Party management lifecycle
- Supports the annual update of the Outsourcing engagements register and reviews BU’s deliverables to ensure conformance with the onboarding Outsourcing engagements process and regulatory requirements
- Acts as a Subject Matter Expert and provides guidance to BUs and Sourcing department on the usage and requirements of the Firm’s tool for assessing and managing Third Party risks
- Facilitates the production of Third-Party metrics and Key Indicators for the Asia Third Party Governance Committee (“TPGC”) and BU governance Committees
- Contributes to reviews and updates of procedures and policies to comply with regulatory requirements on Third Party risks and Outsourcing engagements
- Maintains an in-depth understanding of the Firm’s operations, outsourcing environment, industry knowledge and regulatory changes in Asia, particularly in Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Japan, Australia, India, Taiwan, South Korea and Indonesia; keep the global team apprised of Asia perspectives
- Supports the Asia Regional Lead in partnering with other TPPM global, regional and functional leads to: (i) ensure global Framework is fully embedded across the region; (ii) oversee the Firm’s adherence with global and regional regulatory requirements and industry best practices (iii) share regional best practice
- Design and deliver continuous training and awareness to the business on TPRM, including outsourcing.
Qualifications and experience
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in global organizations, preferably in Big 4, Banking or Financial Services organizations
- Experience with Third Party/ vendor risk management, sourcing, outsourcing or regulatory compliance in one of the following disciplines: operational risk, sourcing, compliance is a definitive advantage
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong project management skills, including ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams with varied backgrounds and skills
- Proven ability to influence, train, motivate others and demonstrated ability to enforce accountability to drive results
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and proven ability to effectively interact with team members, clients, and peers, earning their trust and establishing credibility
- Ability to work in a global team environment, building and maintaining a network of contacts and coordinating with a large number of stakeholders
- Experience in developing reports and summarizing metrics into meaningful information for senior management
- High energy level, intelligence, maturity and unquestionable integrity with a team orientation
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
