- Client Legal Documentation Team (“Mumbai Legal”) is a part of Legal within LCDCoE
- Mumbai Legal supports client documentation, legal activities, firm conflicts checks and projects performed by lawyers in various core locations
Key Responsibilities
Primarily support the Wealth Management (WM) legal coverage teams with reviewing non-disclosure agreements, non-reliance letters, and other legal documentation involving WM clients. This role will involve supporting following activities:
- Review, draft and negotiate client facing Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) including Master NDAs, Back-to-Back NDAs/Joinders and Non-Reliance Letters, specific to banking transactions related to WM Alternative Investments, Markets and Morgan Stanley at Work.
- Draft Statement of Works (SOWs) for various services being provided to Morgan Stanley at Work clients.
- Discuss with relevant Coverage Lawyers, Business Units and BU Risk teams, when necessary including on matters requiring escalation
- Assist in the transitioning of new WM related legal documentation functions from onshore team and become a key contributor
- Conduct legal reviews and assist on other project work, including supporting other areas of Mumbai Legal
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of form/template contracts and records of work performed
Qualifications
Experience
- Qualified lawyer LLB (LL.M will be an added advantage)
- 4-8 post qualification experience at a law firm or in-house role in financial services
- Solid track record working in a professional environment
Knowledge
- Understanding of legal documents and terminologies
- Experience with legal drafting and negotiation skills
- Proficient with MS Office

- Monday to Friday with flexibility to support outside below mentioned standard working hours for time sensitive matters
- Day Light Saving (March to October) – 11:30am – 8:30pm IST
- Non-Day Light Saving (November to February) – 12:30 pm – 9:30 pm IST
