Job Description

  • Involvements in every major platform change, systems renovation and report build for Prime Brokerage clients.
  • Coordinate with business colleagues, clients, admins, IT teams, etc. and understand the business requirement.
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) analysis by creating and documenting test scenarios, preparing test data and using UAT environment for testing. Perform regression testing to ensure that change is taking desired impact.
  • Document evidence of testing and provide business signoff.
  • Participate on various global calls to discuss the requirements and share the observations – keep stakeholders informed. Highlight issues observed and bugs identified during testing and ensure the same is resolved.
  • Solving problems by effectively influencing and utilizing resource across various teams.
  • Investigating exceptions across product class between portfolio accounting system and custody
  • Ensuring accuracy and consistency in client reporting provided by Prime Brokerage systems (Custody, Swaps, etc.)
  • Analysis of financial products like equities, bonds, options, futures, Repo, CDS, MBS, swaps, OTC derivatives and monitoring their cash flows and performance
  • Liaising with various internal teams within he firm to perform standardized process like account closing
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with PB Account Managers, Technology and Operations.

 

 

Skills required (essential)

 

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in an Investment Bank or Custodian Bank with focus on capital markets and proficiency in financial products
  • Chartered Accountant or M.B.A. from reputed Institutes
  • Understanding capital markets and how products trade, settle and are accounted
  • Understanding of prime brokerage business
  • Demonstration of excellent communication and relation building skills with various Client groups in India and overseas
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a high degree of attention to detail
  • Ability to identify and escalate issues effectively and appropriately.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles
  • Generalist skill set with the ability to deal with all levels of client organization and our firm's support structure.
  • Ability to handle pressure, prioritize and multi-tasking during the course of a business day.
  • Proven ability to take ideas forward and to challenge current processes with integrity and maturity.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and related applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to understand complex workflows.
