Role Description

  • The Analyst in the Fixed Income Corporate Action Team is responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of corporate actions related to fixed income securities. This includes monitoring, processing and reconciling events such as Bond Redemption, Coupon and other Fixed income events.
  • The role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills and ability to work under tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Other responsibilities include ensuring timely and accurate processing of all activities daily within the given timelines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Action Processing:
    Monitor and process fixed income corporate action events including coupon payments, redemptions, partial calls and other Corporate Action events
  • Data Management:
    Validate event details from custodians, agents, and market sources. Ensure accurate and timely update of events in internal systems.
  • Instruction Management:
    Review and respond to corporate action events, ensuring correct instructions are processed within deadlines.
  • Reconciliation & Exception Management:
    Investigate and resolve breaks in corporate action events with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    Liaise with custodians, counterparties, and internal to ensure events are captured and actioned correctly.
  • Risk & Control:
    Adhere to risk controls and compliance guidelines to minimize financial and reputational risk.
  • Process Improvement:
    Participate in process automation and system enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in corporate actions, preferably with a focus on fixed income securities.
  • Strong understanding of fixed income instruments and their lifecycle events.
  • Knowledge of financial markets and settlement cycles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with systems like Bloomberg, SWIFT, and corporate action platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in investment banking, asset management, or global custodians.
  • Exposure to global markets and multiple time zones.
