Job Description
Summary:
Documentation Specialist assists multiple roles within Home Loans by categorizing and labeling documentation uploaded to a loan file within the LOS. Documentation Specialist manages a document inbox for rush and/or bulk requests, and labels documents per taxonomy. Specialists ensure all documents are legible and clean to remain compliant with mortgage documentation needs.
Functional Overview:
- Thoroughly review incoming documentation for any potential legibility issues
- Monitor a document inbox for bulk or rush requests
- Will play an integral part in assisting with document management by labeling incoming documents
- Transfer acceptable and valid documentation from a prior loan for a re-application
- Partner with Home Loans to provide feedback via document labeling when uploaded documentation is illegible and/or further documentation is needed
- Proactively identify document indexes and update any as needed
- Provide management feedback when issues arise that could prevent the loan from closing on time
- Proactively assist mortgage partners by ensuring all document labeling is completed in a timely manner

Qualifications
- Deep understanding of acceptable mortgage loan documentation
- Strong interpretation skills for examination of documentation
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook
- Strong communication skills
