Background on the Team
Institutional Operations established a global equity trade support team in Mumbai, in 2009. Approximately 35 functions were transferred from the Institutional Equity Division’s trade support groups in New York, Baltimore, London, Glasgow, Hong Kong, Sydney and Tokyo.
Client's Month end billing process is an offering where clients can trade on real-time basis and have a agreement with the sales desk to get their Cost & Commission billables charged at month end basis. The individual will be responsible for onboarding such clients for the Month end billable process which is offered to clients globally. Individual will be required to do multi-tasking as the process involves liaising with sales desk/ clients/ Tech/ Finance & several internal teams throughout the month for smooth functioning of the process. are both external and internal. Process revolves around invoicing, reconciling, revenue booking, managing receivables & payables. This job is complex in nature and required high focus with eye to detail and managing internal & external communication.
Core functions handled by Mumbai team includes:
- Onboarding & setting up Clients in internal systems for the month end billing process on request from Sales desk globally
- Generating & validating the client invoices as per setup required & delivering same to the respective clients
- Handling Finance revenue postings for multiple client type & asset class
- Handling payables/ receivables through payment mode such as Wire/ PB/IPB/ Swap clients
- Reconciliation between internal trackers/ revenue records & payment received

Skills required (essential)

- Experience with institutional client service.
- Product and operational knowledge in global cash equities (primarily), corporate actions, FX, listed derivatives, commodities, bonds, loans, swaps, derivatives, principal investments
- Risk awareness, willingness and propensity to probe, question, and escalate
- Process documentation & project handling skills
- Excellent communication skills including fluent spoken and written English required
- High computer literacy required, moderate to high expertise with Excel (including creating macros) desired
- Organizational skills
- Good in Excel
- Excellent attention to detail, problem solving skills and excellent judgment
- Takes ownership of issues is methodical and ensures resolution
- Has proven ability to interact with multiple internal and external functions
