DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of Unix shell scripting—including strong proficiency with Korn shell (ksh)—and hands-on experience with IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) on Unix platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, converting, and building scripts for automated job scheduling, as well as monitoring and troubleshooting scripts and scheduled jobs.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and optimize Unix shell scripts, primarily in Korn shell (ksh) and other relevant shells, for business and IT process automation.Analyze and understand legacy Korn shell scripts to rewrite or optimize them for current needs and environments.Build and deploy scripts for TWS job scheduling on Unix, ensuring jobs are set up correctly and efficiently.Configure, monitor, and administer batch jobs and schedules using TWS, adhering to business requirements and operational best practices.Troubleshoot issues with scripts and scheduled jobs: Analyze failures, identify root causes, resolve technical problems, and implement preventative solutions.Required Skills & Qualifications3+ years of hands-on experience in Unix/Linux environment with advanced shell scripting (including Korn shell).Proven track record in IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS)—job setup, schedule management, dependency handling, and troubleshooting in Unix.Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving issues in scripts and automated workflows.Knowledge of additional scripting languages (Bash, Python, Perl).
