We are seeking an accomplished Machine Learning Engineer to lead the development and implementation of our  AI engine. The ideal candidate will be an expert in product development and strategy, translating complex ideas into high-quality software. This is a high-impact role focused on building a "Local Intelligence" AI that makes a real difference in users' daily lives.
Key Responsibilities
Conversational AI Engine Development: Design, train, and deploy the "Conversational AI Engine with Local Intelligence". This AI must be trained on the "ins and outs of Dubai—locations, services, government processes, and cultural norms—to provide hyper-relevant, local-first suggestions and guidance".
Workflow Automation: Develop automated workflow using CI/CD pipelines on projects. Develop AI pipelines and engineer pipelines.
Personalization System: Engineer the User Profile & Preference System to securely store user preferences, frequent requests, and past activity. The goal is to deliver "smarter, faster, and more personalized experiences over time".
Integrated Solutions: Work closely with the Full-stack and Mobile Engineers to integrate the AI engine with internal and third-party APIs for instant, in-app bookings and payments (e.g., ride-hailing, restaurants, utilities, home services).
Rapid Response System: Develop the AI capability for "Rapid Response for Emergencies, Last-Minute Fixes, and Everyday Problems," allowing users to get quick help through one message.
Booking agent: The AI system should be able to perform bookings via API or bot to airline platforms, restaurants, hotels and more.
Collaboration: Participate in the core team alongside the Director of Digital & AI and Sr. Planning Manager.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as an ML Engineer, specifically in developing and deploying large-scale conversational AI or natural language processing (NLP) models.
Expertise in product development and strategy.
A track record of translating ideas into software.
Experience with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is highly desirable.
Experience in the Middle East or a strong understanding of Dubai's specific regulatory, cultural, and service landscapes is a major plus.
Proven experience as an ML Engineer, specifically in developing and deploying large-scale conversational AI or natural language processing (NLP) models.
