Position Details

- Location: Saudi Arabia (KSA)

- Domain Preference: Banking / Finance / Risk Analytics

- Shift: Regular KSA business hours

Role Overview

- We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist with strong expertise in SAS and financial analytics.

- The role requires hands-on experience working with large datasets, developing predictive/risk models, and delivering analytical solutions for banking and finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform data extraction, cleaning, and transformation using SAS (Base, SQL, Macros).

- Develop and validate risk models, credit scoring, fraud detection, and forecasting models.

- Conduct exploratory data analysis and generate actionable insights for business teams.

- Build automated SAS pipelines for financial and regulatory reporting.

- Support model governance, documentation, and audit requirements.

- Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams.

- Prepare clear presentations and reports for management.

Required Skills

- SAS Base, SAS SQL, SAS Macros expertise.

- Experience with SAS/STAT and statistical modeling.

- Ability to optimize and automate SAS workflows.

- Understanding of risk analytics, scorecards, IFRS9, Basel, and financial KPIs.

- Experience with classification, regression, segmentation, and time-series models.

- Strong statistical knowledge.

- SQL (advanced), Python/R (optional but preferred).

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or Finance.

- 5–8 years of analytics experience with at least 3+ years in the finance domain.

- Experience in banking, credit risk, fraud analytics, or regulatory reporting.
