Job Description: SAS Programmer

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize existing SAS macros to transcode SAS datasets to UTF-8 encoding, ensuring data integrity.
• Execute workflows triggered by the analytics platform to ensure operational efficiency.
• Develop and execute calling programs for the transcoding process, maintaining high standards of accuracy.
• Conduct thorough reviews of execution logs (LOG) and output listings (LST) to validate results and troubleshoot any discrepancies.
• Manage source code using Git within Azure DevOps, adhering to best practices for version control and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with business teams to identify transcoding requirements, including specific folders location and timelines for completion.
• Engage with stakeholders to discuss and resolve any issues arising from unexpected output during the transcoding process.

Qualifications: 

• Proficient in SAS programming with an understanding of data manipulation and analysis.
• Familiarity with SAS Viya and UTF-8 character encoding is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Communication skills for effective collaboration with business teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree computer science or related field.
