Job Description

We currently have an opportunity within the Product Operations Control team in Mumbai.  This team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of Product data for the firm.  The candidate will report to the Product Data Control team Leader in Mumbai and have diverse responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:

  • Setting up and maintaining products in reference databases (IPO and Corporate Action Events) and handling product related requests and inquiries from product data users within the Firm
  • Acquiring an intricate knowledge of the Firm’s product data, flow of the data in the firm systems, impact of poor quality data, building the ability to understand the wider environment and question data integrity.
  • Analysing data requests/tickets and make recommendations for eliminating or reducing ticket volume.
  • Completing root-cause analysis of data quality exceptions to determine trends in the data, identify inaccuracies in external data providers' feeds and recommend opportunities to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Identification, mitigation, escalation, and reporting of potential/current risks.
  • Engaging with stakeholders across multiple business units (incl. trading desks, risk, production management, business analysts and IT development) and data vendors (incl. Reuters, Bloomberg) to capture requirements and communicate status on data quality initiatives.
  • Ensuring that data procedures are in place and initiate procedure changes to improve the data service level

 

Skills required (essential)

  • Finance Graduate (B.Com/M.Com/MBA in Finance/Equivalent Degree in Finance)
  • Fresher or 1 year of experience in financial services.
  • Good understanding of securities reference data (e.g. Equities, Listed Derivatives).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly digest new information and learn new businesses and processes.
  • Ability to think strategically and provide insight into how to improve existing business and technology processes.
  • Result-focused mindset.
  • Corporate Actions knowledge will be an added advantage.

 

Skills desired

  • Experience of working with remotely located teams and clients.
  • Good understanding of external data vendor feeds (e.g. Bloomberg, Reuters).
  • Ability to work well under pressure, lending control and order to a difficult or pressurized situation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

2.Shift timing- Flexible- Anytime Between 7 am IST to 9:30 pm IST

3.Contract duration- 6 months

4.Location- Mumbai

5.WFO/Hybrid- Hybrid, 3 Days in office

6.Acceptable notice period- Preferrable- Immediate Joiner, else 1 month is fine
