About the Role
We’re seeking an Infrastructure Project Manager to lead a cross-functional upgrade of the existing Forescout hardware and the operating system from Version 8 to Version 9 across data center(s) and office environments. The role spans planning, vendor and engineer coordination, requesting datacenter installation and network connectivity, risk/control management, cutover/migration, and post-upgrade stabilization with minimal business disruption.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Governance:
- Own end-to-end delivery of the hardware refresh and OS upgrade, aligning with technology roadmaps and change governance.
- Establish and run project governance (Steering Committee, RAID logs, change control, and stakeholder reporting).
Planning & Design:
- Lead discovery and inventory: hardware estate, OS v8 builds, application/DB dependencies, integrations, and network/security controls.
- Coordinate solution design: target architecture, OS v9 baseline builds, golden images, hardening standards, backup/DR alignment, and rollback strategies.
- Plan site delivery and coordinate with I&C Datacenter and Networks teams’ installation, IP addressing, DNS, port allocations and connectivity requirements.
Execution & Delivery:
- Orchestrate build, testing, and deployment of OS v9.
- Manage pilot, phased rollout, and production cutovers (including maintenance windows and change tickets).
- Oversee data migration, backup/restores, and DR readiness testing; validate monitoring/observability coverage.
Risk, Compliance & Security:
- Run proactive risk management: performance, compatibility, capacity, and outage risks; maintain rollback plans.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
- Engage with Forescout, I&C networks and datacenter teams, Application Owners, Cyber Security support teams.
- Negotiate with hardware vendors on lead times, delivery, support matrices, and escalation paths.
- Provide clear comms: release notes, blackout windows, user impact, training/knowledge transfer.
Post-Implementation & Handover:
- Drive hypercare, defect triage, and stabilisation; track service levels and incident trends.
- Complete documentation updates (CMDB, runbooks, topology diagrams, asset registers).
- Formalize handover to BAU with agreed support models and acceptance criteria.
Required Experience & Skills:
- 5–8+ years delivering infrastructure projects (hardware refresh, OS/platform upgrades) in enterprise environments.
- Proven success managing multi-site or hybrid (on-prem & cloud) deployments with zero/minimal downtime
- Familiar with ITIL change/release, service transition, and configuration management (CMDB).
- Hands-on experience with testing strategies (functional, performance, failover/DR, rollback) and cutover planning.
- Excellent stakeholder management, executive reporting, vendor/SLA management, and financial tracking.
Qualifications:
- PM certifications: PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent (preferred).
- ITIL Foundation/Intermediate (preferred).
