Learning & Development Specialist Position
Job Summary
The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for conducting in-person and virtual employee training and providing consultative support on various topics, ranging from new hire curriculum to technical training. They will work in collaboration with the Learning & Development leadership and other team members to design, develop, and execute effective training programs tailored to the unique needs of employees. This includes understanding recruitment, client management processes, candidate rapport building and use of the in-house ATS system.
Job Duties and responsibilities:
- Design and deliver in-person training programs for new hires joining the delivery team, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
- Collaborate with internal subject-matter experts (SMEs) to ensure training content is accurate and relevant.
- Align training objectives to the business needs of teams and our client’s expectations.
- Develop engaging learning materials and course content specific to the roles and responsibilities of the team.
- Create supporting materials/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, learners guide, instructors guide, etc.) tailored for the roles of trainees.
- Evaluate learner performance post-training and provide feedback for improvement, including assessments and certification for those who complete training.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of all training materials and sessions conducted.
- Work closely with the L&D leadership to ensure consistency in training across the firm.
- Facilitate continuous learning sessions for employees, ensuring they remain updated with any changes in processes or client expectations.
- Gather feedback post-training sessions and make necessary adjustments to training materials and delivery methods.
- Utilize the company learning management system to capture all training activities and run relevant reports.
- Assist the L&D leadership in other areas of team development and training as needed.
Qualifications/Skills:
- 5 - 8 Years experience out of which 3 years in Training
- Ability to effectively conduct engaging in-person training sessions.
- Strong understanding of the recruitment process, client management, and use of ATS systems.
- Familiarity with instructional design theories and adult learning principles.
- Ability to design and develop relevant and engaging training materials.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple training projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other training software/tools.
- Ability to work closely with different teams and adapt training based on feedback.
Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements:
- BSc or BA or higher degree in instructional design, human resources, education, or related field.
- Certification in training, learning & development, or instructional design is a plus.
- Prior experience as a trainer or learning & development professional is essential, preferably within a recruitment or staffing environment.
