The Engineer, Quality Assurance plays a pivotal role in ensuring the overall product quality of sustaining releases. This individual provides independent oversight across key stages of the product lifecycle, including the design input process, design validation and verification (V&V) activities, design transfer, product realization, and post-market performance. By meticulously ensuring that all design requirements are effectively met and safeguards the integrity and reliability of the products brought to market.
In addition to their technical contributions, he/she delivers critical analytics to inform the business about the efficacy and efficiency of design and product realization processes. This data-driven approach helps identify opportunities for improvement and supports the strategic alignment of quality initiatives with business goals.
The ideal candidate demonstrates deep proficiency in the philosophy of quality, strong systems engineering fundamentals across all key domains integral to product quality, and the ability to challenge the status quo constructively. They serve as a proactive advocate for the "voice of the customer," ensuring customer-centric decision-making in core team discussions and fostering continuous improvement in product quality.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and uphold product quality from PRD creation to production handover and sustaining phases.
- Actively manage the transition from development to high-volume production to ensure robust quality.
- Represent and advocate for quality in all program team meetings
- Drive alignment among cross-functional teams regarding quality standards and objectives.
- Conduct post-mortem reviews and lessons learned analyses on quality challenges during development and sustaining phases.
- Facilitate cross-site, cross-team collaboration to implement actionable improvements from past experiences.
- Perform quality risk assessments for projects, proactively identifying vulnerabilities.
- Develop and execute mitigation strategies using risk management frameworks like FMEA to protect product integrity and business goals.
- Actively participate in engineering processes, such as PRD, DFx, qualification syncs, test plans, and RDT, to ensure alignment with reliability and quality objectives.
- Forecast and address potential quality risks during engineering reviews.
- Identify and address process inefficiencies across the Product Life Cycle (PLC) execution.
- Collaborate with execution teams to implement robust improvement actions.
- Influence organizational culture to prioritize quality as a key strategic focus.
- Develop and embed quality-centric values, standards, and methodologies across operations.
- Apply data analytics and evidence-based methodologies to support objective decision-making.
- Resolve contentions effectively using measurable insights.
Skills:
Experience and hands-on in,
- E2E product development, factory and customer quality
- Driving product quality and reliability working with CFT, Six sigma GB/BB would be added advantage
- Design for Quality / Reliability, pFMEA, DFMEA, DFM, DFT, Root cause analysis
- NPI product development and sustenance
- Data analysis and data-based decision making and action
- Process improvements drives for structural quality improvements

Requirements / Qualification
- Bachelor or Masters Degree in Electrical/Electronic based Engineering
- 8 to 10yrs of professional experience in quality engineering
- Thorough understanding on Product Life Cycle and process-gap identification
- Exposure to factory processes and hands-on is a big advantage
