 Skills:  

A Network WAN Engineer?designs, implements, and maintains wide area networks (WAN), connecting geographically dispersed locations for, secure data communication. They optimize network performance (QoS), manage routers, switches, and firewalls, and troubleshoot complex routing issues. Key skills include SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF, and VPNs, often requiring certifications like CCNA/CCNP.? 

Key Responsibilities and Skills: 

  • Design & Implementation:?Setting up WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, and SD-WAN technology. 
  • Performance Optimization:?Ensuring high network efficiency, monitoring traffic flow, and managing Quality of Service (QoS). 
  • Troubleshooting:?Analysing root causes of network failures, resolving performance bottlenecks, and minimizing downtime. 
  • Security:?Configuring firewalls, VPNs, and securing WAN traffic across locations. 
  • Technologies:?Proficiency in BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN (e.g., Silver Peak), and IPsec. 
  • Documentation:?Maintaining detailed network diagrams, configurations, and procedural documentation.?
