Role – Tax processing analyst

Location - Bangalore

Notes:

· Specific/ mandatory skills: Basic accounting and tax knowledge, should be good at excel, quick learner.

· Experience range: 1 to 2 yrs

· Contract duration: 6 months

· Shift timings: 11:15 AM to 8:15 PM, however should be flexible as per process requirements.

· Number of days work from office: 60% (3 days in a week)

Details of Requisition

 

Requisition Description:

 

The candidate will be responsible for and manage operational support for the Tax compliances, remittances, reconciliation and reporting for APAC and EMEA region which includes India, Sri Lanka, French, Italy etc. Additional activity in withholding space includes Certification process and reclaim filing. The core responsibilities will include but not limited to the day-to-day processing functions within pre-defined timelines and ensure the process is run in a controlled manner wherein all the relevant Key Processing Indicators are achieved and delivered as agreed.

 

The candidate would be expected to be well verse with the various Tax regulations and can understand the various aspects and concepts of taxes like Financial Transaction Tax, Stamp Tax, Withholding Tax, TDS, Reclaims filing, Reporting, and Payments etc.

Managing the day-to-day processing/deliverables for operational tax processes like Tax reconciliation, reporting and certification tasks for businesses/regions supported by Operational Tax

Advise on the right level of tax documentation, position reconciliation and assess the French, Italy, Spain, India, Sri Lanka etc. local tax compliances and remittances and reclaim filing.

Produce Tax MIS and maintain full audit trails

Knowledge of Equities Trade Life cycle, Reconciliation of Nostro and internal accounts, Exposure to back office systems and Reconciliation systems like TLM, etc. will be an added advantage

Responsibilities/Task:

 

Ensure that there are no misses in any of the internal/external deadlines,

Review the processes undertaken within the team and redevelop and redesign where cost savings/efficiencies can be made

Interpretation of amendments to the existing rules and regulations pertaining to the relevant tax.

Work closely with the process manager to ensure deliverables are of utmost quality and in a timely manner as defined in SLA.

Ensure all client (internal and external) queries are dealt with in a timely and effective manner. Experience of directly dealing with Clients would be an added benefit
