Global Payroll Contractor – SAP S/4HANA Implementation
We are seeking an experienced Global Payroll Contractor to support the payroll workstream of our SAP S/4HANA implementation. This role is fully project focused and will coordinate payroll-related updates, integrations, testing cycles, and global vendor alignment across multiple regions. The contractor will work closely with payroll providers, payroll operations, IT, and Finance to ensure all payroll-related changes are accurately implemented and validated. This position requires strong knowledge of global payroll processes, project coordination, integrations, and end-to-end testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- SAP S/4HANA Payroll Project Support
- Support payroll-related activities within the SAP S/4HANA implementation, including coordinating requirements, system updates, data mapping, directing and performing testing, and managing timelines.
- Assist IT and Finance teams in implementing payroll-related updates, integration adjustments, and functional requirements.
- Maintain clear documentation of updates, file specifications, test cases, results, changes, and overall status.
- Global Payroll Provider Coordination
- Coordinate updates and testing cycles with payroll vendors across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.
- Communicate requirements, timelines, testing expectations, and changes to providers and track their deliverables.
- Ensure payroll provider inputs and outputs meet quality expectations and align with new system requirements.
- Integration & GL Update Management
- Support updates to payroll integrations, including master data and both inbound and outbound interfaces.
- Assist in updating and validating general ledger (GL) mappings and posting files to support the S/4HANA financial structure.
- Work with Finance to ensure accurate accounting outcomes during testing and cutover.
- Master Data & End-to-end Testing
- Confirm that employee master data changes (e.g., cost centers) are accounted for in system updates and testing cycles.
- Coordinate and perform testing activities, including:
- Unit testing, SIT, & UAT
- Validate GL and cost center results across all testing.
- Log defects, track resolutions, and retest, as necessary.
- Cross Functional Coordination
- Partner with Payroll Operations, HR, Accounting, and HRIT teams to coordinate project tasks, address issues, and maintain alignment.
- Support communication of status, changes, timelines, testing outcomes, and risks to relevant stakeholders.
- Support other payroll related projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong working knowledge of global payroll processes (Americas, EMEA, APAC) and how system changes impact payroll operations.
- Experience supporting payroll-related- projects or system implementations, including integrations and data validation.
- Solid understanding of payroll-related- integrations and GL structures.
- Hands-on experience coordinating or performing testing for system or integration changes.
- Strong project coordination and communication skills across global teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple simultaneous deadlines.
- Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on or supporting ERP transitions such as SAP S/4HANA.
- Familiarity with HRIS or payroll systems.
- Experience supporting payroll-related transformation initiatives, including process mapping, workflow optimization, and change-management activities.
- Experience coordinating with global payroll vendors.
Work Schedule & Location
- Second-shift, India-based hours required- to support APAC, EMEA, and U.S. regions.
