· Specific/ mandatory skills: Understanding of ESG and Sustainability , KYC, Client Reference Data , ability to query large datasets, eye for detail, investigation of client data using public searches, MS Excel skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills

Summary/Overview

The Client Reference Data Services (cRDS) team delivers on a broad and consistent, bank wide golden source of Party (Entity / Client) reference data that is externally verifiable and validated. This golden source is business and product agnostic and is used by and distributed to consuming systems (trading, reporting, credit, etc) across Client. Creating the golden source of Party reference data helps the bank to deliver increased compliance to regulatory requirements; improved standardisation, consistency and quality of core entity data and increased efficiency throughout the bank of our reference data processes. This role focuses on effective oversight of strategic data used across the bank’s systems and infrastructure.

Your key responsibilities

· Work and identify the key critical business processes within the bank that use ESG data, determine the risk classification for those data sets and agree with stakeholders the relevant controls that need to be implemented

· Meet the Internal Control Model (cycles, risks, controls), including review of cycles, controls and ability to evaluate risks and challenge existing processes.

· Operate Control as per KOD and document results.

· Ensure agreed thresholds are met and accuracy is maintained for all assigned activities

· Ensure proactive and on-time delivery of business requirements, including key projects and regular presentations to senior management on governance topics.

· Review policies and procedures and ensure seamless implementation, including providing requirements to tech and change partners Execute Data analysis for data completeness, transformation, filters, and data control validation.

· Interpret data requirements, define business rules and/or format rules through working with data producers and data consumers.

· Work with stakeholders to create and implement disclosure controls & procedures and ensure a robust control environment.

· Facilitate response for internal audits or other external reviews of the information within client ESG disclosures, including preparation of materials to be disclosed to internal audit and external regulators.

Your skills and experience

· Must know and understand ESG related party data, data formats and disclosure requirements to be able to compare vendor provided data to official disclosures for a sample of parties.

· Knowledge in Sustainability and Data Governance Knowledgeable in the end-to-end issue management process and aggregated Data Controls reporting in order to determine the overall health of data

· Experience in Client Reference Data (Legal Entity Creation, Modification, and Clearing Data Quality Exceptions through independent external research) or KYC

· Previous experience: data controls management, compliance reporting, or other relevant fields

· Proficient ability to query large datasets (e.g., SQL) with a view to test/analyse content and present data analysis

· Strong analytical skills (being able to understand and articulate how the business process relates to technical / system flow and interfaces

· Understanding Data Governance processes and ability to prioritize

· Strong stakeholder management skills

· Conflict management / Negotiation skills

· Ability to manage large data production and remediation projects

· Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
