Roles and Responsibilities:
• Analyze system and software requirements to identify test scenarios and test cases
• Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for functional, integration, system, and regression testing
• Perform testing on embedded systems, including interaction with hardware where applicable
• Log, track, prioritize, and manage defects using JIRA
• Work closely with developers, system engineers, and product owners to understand functionality and resolve defects
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and review activities
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, especially for medical/regulated environments
• Prepare and maintain test documentation such as test plans, test cases, test reports, and traceability matrices
• Support validation and verification activities as required in regulated products
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• 6-8 years of experience in software testing, preferably in embedded and/or regulated domains
• Strong hands-on experience in manual testing
• Good working knowledge of JIRA or similar defect tracking tools
• Experience or exposure to embedded software testing
• Solid understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC)
• Ability to analyze requirements and identify edge cases
• Good documentation and reporting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in the medical device / healthcare domain
• Knowledge of automation testing (any tool or framework)
• Understanding of regulatory standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 13485, or FDA guidelines
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
